Scenic Lodge is a 55 room residential aged care facility offering low care accommodation. Situated in the cosmopolitan, beach-side suburb of Merewether, Scenic Lodge makes the most of its spectacular location on Scenic Drive, with views overlooking the Pacific Ocean as well as the historic Glenrock Recreation Area.
The design of Scenic Lodge is of a domestic scale building form broken into two wings that are linked via service and communal areas internally and landscaped courtyards externally. The communal activity areas, provided to the ground and upper levels, open to external activity spaces which provides both internal and external environments for the residents’ use.
Within each wing on the ground floor resident units with individual disabled/adaptable access ensuite facilities are provided. Where possible, the ground floor units have their own private outdoor courtyard. The upper level bedroom suites incorporate a small sitting area within the room and access to a small private balcony. All resident rooms, living spaces and communal areas offer pleasant outlooks with large windows overlooking the landscaped grounds within the site and beyond to distant views.
