The previously run down 9 storey hotel building was reconfigured and refreshed for a new owner, designed to capture the spirit of the neighbourhood in one of Melbourne’s lively hospitality districts. Playful colour and art integration pays homage to the body of work of legendary local photographer Helmut Newton, with spaces in the hotel themed around the process of photographic development. Beso Bar and Restaurant serve up Spanish Tapas on the ground floor which panoramic views to the bustling Melbourne streetscape beyond.
