EJE was engaged to provide comprehensive design services for the major upgrade to the Newcastle International Hockey Centre. The project involved two new Function and Change room buildings (Buildings A and B), an upgrade to the existing Referees Facility, a new maintenance facility, and a rationalised road, carparking and pedestrian network. The facility was constructed in two stages allowing the ongoing operation of the existing hockey fields with no loss of amenity for the players and officials.
