The brief for the development, located along Wharf Road Newcastle, was to design a high end, boutique residential development. A design that would embrace the environmental, social and aesthetic elements befitting its Newcastle harbourside location.
The architectural design is modern, with the aim to be timeless, with detailed attention paid to proportion both horizontal and vertical. The development achieves an elegant soft aesthetic through the use of the flowing curves, layered elements and sophisticated materials including stone, rendered masonry, metal cladding and glass.
Terras Landscape Architects were an integral part of the design team creating lush landscaped spaces which provide a high level of private and common open space centred around the pool with an overhead green beam providing privacy from the balconies over. Consideration of how the development addressed the key public interfaces of Wharf Road and Scott Street were integral to the design.
