We were engaged to complete an office fit-out of a base building space for the CDC Data Centres Fyshwick location in Canberra. The primary objective was to create a new corporate headquarters for a rapidly expanding data centre operator. We successfully delivered an engaging and visually appealing workspace that met the client’s needs and expectations.
The design aimed to establish a strong visual connection to the CDC branding and overall architectural style. The structural organisation of the office layout was carefully planned to reflect the services and operational workflow of the data centre operator. Additionally, a sense of light and volume was prioritised to create a vibrant and dynamic environment.
The project centred around the interior design of the base building space, which we originally designed, as a crucial component of a large-scale Data Centre development in Canberra. The functional requirements included a boardroom, corporate hospitality and staff lunch area, versatile workstation spaces, and a range of collaboration spaces, both local and remote, varying from interconnected meeting rooms to individual ‘phone booths’.
